Northridge Earthquake Conference and Workshop

About this event

As a result of the tremendous damage caused by the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, the four NEHRP agencies (FEMA, NIST, NSF, and USGS) enlisted CUREe to convene a national conference and bring together researchers and practitioners to assess what had been learned from that event. The resulting four-volume set of papers produced from this event was the most comprehensive single source of information on that earthquake, spanning the disciplines of Engineering, Social Sciences and Emergency Management, and Earth Science.
