Golden Gate Bridge Outdoor Exhibition
With $3 million in funding from the National Science Foundation, the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, CUREE coordinated an effort to establish outdoor exhibits about the Bridge to give the millions people who visit it each year insights about its engineering, construction, and history. The Bridge District General Manager and CEO, Denis Mulligan was the Principal Investigator and served as the Project Manager.
This exhibit was completed in 2016 based on the allowable space and installed near the main plaza of the pavilion visitor center on the South end of the Golden Gate Bridge. Designed in partnership with the National Park Service and the Golden Gate Bridge Conservatory, this exhibition features works by CUREE, The Exploratorium, West Wind Laboratories, and Eye Think, Inc.
