Seismic Performance Assessment in Dense Urban Environments

About this project

This NSF-funded NEES small grant project awarded to the University of California, Berkeley focused on documenting and understanding the seismic performance of soil-foundation-structure interaction systems (SFSI) within dense urban environments (on the scale of a city block). This research was conducted using the geotechnical centrifuge located at UC Davis.

CUREE provided contracting, and education and outreach services (including print and video documentation, in addition to setting up the project website.)
