The University of Colorado at Boulder, Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering, invites applications for a tenure track position in Geotechnical Engineering and Geomechanics to begin Fall 2010. Outstanding candidates in any focus of these fields are sought, including geo-environmental engineering, natural hazards, and energy.

The new faculty will develop an externally funded research program and teach both undergraduate and graduate classes. Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in Civil Engineering or related field, have strong fundamentals and modern analytical, computational or experimental training, appropriate research and practical experience, and the capability and vision to develop a vigorous research program in an applied area.

The position is offered at the Assistant Professor level, though exceptional candidates at higher levels will be considered. Information about the Department and this position is available at http://ceae.colorado.edu.
