Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Civil Engineering

North Carolina State University
Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering

The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering (CCEE) at North Carolina State University (NCSU) expects to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the area of sustainable and resilient infrastructure. We are particularly interested in applicants who embrace interdisciplinary research aimed at solving complex civil engineering problems, which requires knowledge that is both deep and broad. Interdisciplinary scholarship requires the assembly of a team of faculty, each of whom has focused discipline specific knowledge and the desire to contribute to a collaborative environment to foster innovative solutions that individual researchers would not have been able to attain on their own.

We are seeking a colleague to join a vibrant department with 49 faculty members, about 800 undergraduate and 315 graduate students. The department has many excellent laboratories and is planning to move to a new building on NCSU’s Centennial Campus in the future. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized research and educational program within their area of expertise, and teach graduate and undergraduate courses. Review of applications will begin immediately and the position will remain open until filled. Additional departmental information can be found at www.ce.ncsu.edu.

Interested applicants should apply online at https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/search, department 140301, position #00001498 or through the direct link: http://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/47975. Applicants should include a resume, a statement of research and teaching interests, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, up to three representative publications, and contact information for at least three references. Review of applications will begin immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
